Position Summary

The Employment Specialist provides Supported Employment services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings. Services are provided in accordance with applicable ODP requirements, 55 Pa. Code Chapter 6100, the participant’s Individual Support Plan, and agency policies.

The Employment Specialist supports individuals with exploring employment interests, preparing for work, developing job skills, obtaining employment, and maintaining successful employment in the community.

Compensation

Starting pay: $25.00 per hour

Pay range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience and performance

Additional opportunities may be available for performance-based raises and bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current ACRE Certification, Basic or Professional
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 year of experience in employment services, human services, or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances
  • Ability to complete required documentation accurately and on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field
  • Experience with ODP services
  • Experience with OVR coordination
  • Community-based employment experience

Position Summary

The Lead Employment Specialist is responsible for delivering Supported Employment services and serving as a trainer, mentor, and support to employment staff. Services are provided in accordance with applicable ODP requirements, 55 Pa. Code Chapter 6100, the participant’s Individual Support Plan, and agency policies.

The Lead Employment Specialist helps support employment placement, job retention, staff development, documentation quality, and compliance with agency and ODP expectations.

Compensation

Base and growth model:

  • Starting pay: $30.00 per hour
  • After 90 days: $31.00 to $32.00 per hour, based on performance
  • High performer: $33.00 to $34.00 per hour

Additional opportunities may be available based on performance, leadership, and agency needs.

  • Current CESP Certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in employment services
  • High School Diploma or GED

Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional provides one-to-one support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, and developmental disabilities, and individuals receiving home and community-based services.

DSPs support participants in their homes and communities by helping with daily living skills, community involvement, personal goals, safety, independence, and quality of life. Services are provided according to the participant’s Individual Support Plan, service authorization, agency policies, and applicable ODP requirements.

Compensation

Base and growth model:

  • Starting pay: $19.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certificate for Community Participation Support for Direct Support for Direct Support Professionals
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Current on required ODP training, when applicable
  • Completion of annual ODP continuing education, when applicable
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • Reliable personal vehicle
  • Active auto insurance that meets PA requirements
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong communication and professionalism
  • Ability to complete daily electronic documentation
  • Ability to follow the participant’s Individual Support Plan, also known as the ISP

Required Clearances and Documentation

  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
  • FBI Clearance, if applicable

  • CNA certificate, when required for the position or assignment

Position Summary

Pay range: $11.00 – $13.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, recording vital signs and changes in health status accurately in electronic health record (EHR) or medical documentation systems
  • Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality
  • Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being
  • Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices to promote safe mobility and hygiene
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with light cleaning, laundry, and home organization to maintain a safe living environment
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations

Experience

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
  • Demonstrated experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s or dementia
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to patient care, vital signs monitoring, medication management, and medical documentation
  • Hands-on experience with medical equipment like Hoyer lifts and catheter care is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with working within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Experience providing long-term care or hospice support is a plus
  • Valid CPR certification required; additional certifications such as first aid or specialized caregiving training are advantageous
